Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who's had great success with the tales that she shares about her childhood heartbreak. Swift discovered a love for music in her early years and quickly progressed from playing in shows for children and then making her first public appearance public. As Swift sang The Star-Spangled Banner in front of an Philadelphia 76ers match at the age of 11, she was already writing songs. After that, she took up guitar. Swift created original music which was influenced by country artists such as Shania Twain (now known as the Chicks) as well as Dixie Chicks. Her material reflected Swift's experiences with tweens being apathetic. When she was 13 Swift's parents decided to sell their property in Pennsylvania and moved into Hendersonville Tennessee so she could spend more time to courting country labels in nearby Nashville.
